The government is launching the Hungarian Village Entrepreneurship Restart Program with a budget of HUF 30 billion, Finance Minister Mihály Varga announced in a video message posted on his Facebook page on Friday.
He highlighted: in the tender, companies with less than 10 employees can win a non-refundable grant of HUF 2-10 million for the purchase of new equipment and machinery, real estate investment, and technological development. Up to 3,000 Hungarian micro-enterprises can start development from the amount of the support, he noted.
Mihály Varga said that the government considers it highly important to support businesses operating in small settlements and disadvantaged areas. If the local economies work well, there are jobs, wage increases and developments in the given area, he underlined.
The investments of the small businesses operating in the villages contribute to the development not only of the local economy, but also of the entire Hungarian economy, emphasized the minister.
"Strong region, strong Hungary. This is still the goal"
he said.
