On the occasion of the Mária Kopp Year, the Mária Kopp Institute for Population and Families (KINCS) announces a literary and scientific competition
Our common TREASURES, family, community, mental health.
You can apply with works of fiction or science, the content of which must be related to Mária Kopp and Árpád Skrabski's book The Paths and Paths of the Search for Happiness (Budapest, KINCS, 2021), or to the themes of Hungarostudy research (Kapocs 2022/1), which examines the mental state of Hungarians.
In the case of works of fiction, they are looking for entries that use the tools of literature to capture the interconnected world of happiness, mental health, social relationships, families and communities. There is no genre restriction, anyone over the age of 18 can apply for the fiction competition.
In the case of scientific careers, studies presenting theoretical or empirical results related to the given topics are expected, in accordance with scientific standards.
Submission deadline: April 3, 2022 (10th anniversary of Mária Kopp's death)
An applicant may nominate a maximum of two works, and several applicants may submit 1 work together. Announcement of Results: Expected on the occasion of July 11, 2022 (World Population Day)
Award: The total amount of the tender: HUF 3,000,000
In both categories, the 1st place will receive HUF 500,000 gross, the 2nd place will receive HUF 300,000 gross, and the 3rd place will receive HUF 200,000 gross.
In the case of the fiction competition, we are also announcing special prizes of 250,000 forints in four categories: Young, Mother, Father and Grandparent special prizes.
