We need to learn from what happened up to 2010, from how much effort was needed to correct the mistakes, and if we have already succeeded, we cannot return to a place where only problems await us again - said Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Kossuth radio Good morning , Hungary! in his show on Friday.
The head of government explained: Hungary is going forward, not backward. The sentence includes the struggle that Hungary has waged for the past 12 years, since in 2010 it was a bankrupt country, the country was "bled out and destroyed". But "with very hard work, in 12 years, Hungary corrected the mistakes and sins of the previous left-wing government," he pointed out.
He said: however, those who "bankrupted the country as left-wing politicians until 2010" are now coming and saying that they are ready to take over the country after the elections. This would mean that we are going backwards, he added.
He believed that the work of the past years should not be thrown out of the window, because if those who brought the country into bankruptcy come back, they will do the same as they did before, "they mean austerity, taking away, reducing pensions, but they will not raise the minimum wage, they will not increase pensions, because they did not do so when they had the opportunity".
Brussels does not help the defense
Hungary protects the whole of Europe, but Brussels does not help to defend it, and even attacks Hungary - declared the Prime Minister, and then said : in 2020, 45,000 illegal immigrants were caught at the border, and in 2021, 122,000, which clearly shows that the the number of illegal border crossings is increasing. The issue of migration has not been resolved, in fact it will live with us as a threat and danger in the coming years, so the border protection system will have to be strengthened and reformed, he stated. He added that new forces must be recruited, as many armed men as possible must be employed specifically for the purpose of border protection.
He went on to say that the Hungarians are "always castle captains at the same time" and protect the borders of the whole of Europe. Since 2015, this has cost the Hungarians about HUF 600 billion, but Brussels does not support this work, "in fact, it shoots us in the back", attacks instead of helping, said the prime minister.
Defenses cannot be weakened
It is free, and even necessary, to debate what a good defense looks like, but this must be done in such a way that the defense is not weakened in the meantime, said Viktor Orbán in connection with the coronavirus epidemic.
The debate about self-defense is a pan-European phenomenon, but the Hungarian left stands out from European practice by producing fake videos. He is not aware of any cases in any Western European country where facts are falsified, fake videos are made, fake videos are made, and the defense is discussed in such a way as to weaken the effectiveness of the defense, he said.
He sees the way defense is being attacked in Hungary, it is insulting to doctors and nurses, and it devalues the work that takes place in hospitals. However, the entire healthcare system is doing everything it can to help patients, and the doctors and nurses deserve credit, he said.
He noted: the organization of vaccination is progressing well everywhere.
Viktor Orbán assessed as follows: the left cannot distinguish between attacking the government and downgrading the country.
