In Hungary, the number of vaccinated people is 6,344,089, of which 6,082,196 have received the second, and 3,560,753 have already received the confirmatory, third vaccination. 9,717 new infections were confirmed, increasing the number of identified infections to 1,451,102 since the beginning of the epidemic. 74, mostly elderly, chronic patients died, bringing the number of deaths to 41,018, koronavirus.gov.hu announced on Tuesday.
It was written on the government portal: the number of people who have recovered is constantly increasing, currently 1,216,454, and the number of active infected people has risen to 193,630. 3,115 coronavirus patients are being treated in the hospital, 177 of them are on ventilators.
It is also worth taking advantage of the vaccination promotion, which will continue on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, because of the omicron and the vaccination card that will come into effect on February 15, they wrote in the announcement.
The unvaccinated and those who received their previous vaccination more than four months ago are especially welcome. They drew attention to the fact that by taking the third vaccination, protection can be increased to 80-90 percent again.
