On January 29, at 7:35 p.m., the first selection of A Dal 2022 will start, in which the country's song is once again being searched for on the renewed Duna TV. The jury is also new: Kati Wolf, Misi Mező, György Ferenczi and Péter Egri, the singer of the Mystery Gang.
"Dal is the only forum for Hungarian pop music performers, where they can present their latest songs. This year, a more exciting program than ever can be expected: diverse performers, special genres and hitherto unknown talents will have the opportunity to be widely known. In the last broadcast, we can also enjoy the productions in symphonic form accompanied by the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra," said Kati Wolf.
"It is a privileged situation to see the most prominent and freshest songs of the Hungarian pop music scene so closely. I myself will be an enthusiastic jury member, I don't want to be either hairy or butter-hearted. I am convinced that our foursome will work well. I was among not only exceptional performers, but also among professional music professionals," added Egri.
"Dal directs the spotlight on the compositions of lesser-known domestic talents. This year, even more people applied than before, which shows that more and more up-and-coming artists and bands believe in this opportunity. As a viewer and a jury, it is a pleasure to choose from this musical buffet," explained Ferenczi.
"I like the variety of genres that A Dal represents. Popular music does not only mean pop, this is exemplified by the broadcasts, where representatives of the most diverse genres of the domestic, contemporary music scene present their current songs. Good music, a good song is independent of style," Misi Mező believed.
