Let's adopt a settlement or half a settlement or a few streets, a few stairwells, explained Péter Márki-Zay, the left-wing prime ministerial candidate, in his live Facebook video. In his speech, he outlined a movement, the essence of which is that left-wing propaganda should be delivered to the countryside by printing a newspaper and taking it to the villagers.
The poor, ignorant rural people must be enlightened - said prime ministerial candidate Gyurcsány, who believes that Budapest activists should deliver the lying left-wing propaganda to the rural people, who, according to him, do not even have internet, Origo reported.
According to Márki-Zay's vision, left-wing activists should go to a rural settlement, occupy it ("adopt") and drop the cheaply printed, deceptive texts into every mailbox.
"This is a great opportunity to bring the truth to misled people," Márki-Zay said in the video, referring to rural people.
The thoughts of Gyurcsány's puppet rhyme with what the left spread in 2018, after the election defeat at that time. According to them, "there is no internet in the countryside", so the people there cannot know the "truth", which is why the left lost, they said.
Péter Márki-Zay represents this superior left-wing belief that looks down on rural people.
Gyurcsány's candidate previously called the villagers ignorant and stupid. In addition, he made statements according to which he would abolish the utility bill, close maternity hospitals and hospitals in rural areas, and support paid health care.
