On March 27, the 346th anniversary of the birth of the Great Prince will be celebrated in his birthplace, the renovated Borsi Castle. For the holiday II. A special train departs with a locomotive decorated with Ferenc Rákóczi's portrait and motto. On the train, musicians entertain the passengers with kuruc songs and folk music.
The train leaves for Borsi in the morning to the Rákóczi Castle, renewed in its beauty. The castle on the Slovak side of the border, barely 5 kilometers from Sátoraljaújhely, was built around 1579 by the Tokaj castle captain István Zeleméri Kamarás and rebuilt into a magnificent castle by Zsuzsanna Lorántffy and Prince György I. Rákóczi. The historical significance of the building is still given by the fact that in 1676 the later prince II. Ferenc Rákóczi.
The Bors castle is one of the jewels of Hungarian Renaissance architecture, and from now on, it awaits admirers of the prince, tourists, and those interested. Guests are welcomed in the castle with experiences and exhibitions reminiscent of the prince's age, a hotel, restaurant and wine tasting.
