Hungary's first traditional gypsy restaurant, the Kíra restaurant, operates in Békés, Békés county, and its owner, Géza Ásós, is very popular throughout the country. This was exploited by opposition portals, which used an interview with him to incite against the government. In a twenty-minute Facebook video, Ásós told how he was hacked and how he was used by the left for nefarious political purposes.

On Monday night at half past five, Géza Ásós posted on her Facebook page that she would start live video starting this week, because she was terribly upset by the events of the day. At that time, it was not yet clear how the country's first gypsy restaurateur was beaten by some opposition media. The chef started the live by saying that at the end of last year he was approached by a journalist from Népszava to do an interview with him. Géza Ásós explained that the interview took place, it appeared in one of the newspaper's supplements, he found everything in order with it, and approved it before it was set up, as is usual in the profession. He explained that there was nothing special in the interview, he told what his day was like, how he fought himself and the like. On Monday morning, several of his acquaintances asked him what had happened, whether he had joined politics, and he did not understand what it was all about. Ásós said that over the weekend an openly opposition newspaper appeared in Békéscsaba's mailboxes, with a two-page article about him, which was not a big problem, because the interview itself was fine, but something terribly upset him.

I was in a newspaper that was full of politics. All the articles are full of politics, in which they mow down the party that is currently in power. I was in a full opposition campaign newspaper - said Ásós, then continued by saying that this is not what he gave his permission for.

there is with the chef on the online page of Népszava made last summer under the title Giant of Pacalország, but there is no mention of politics in it. He insisted several times, that is not what he gave his name to, even his acquaintances were puzzled before an opposition propaganda pamphlet abused him in this way. He stated that in recent years there have been inquiries from both sides, but he wants to stay away from politics so much that he has always turned them down.

I don't want to do politics. Since then, I have spoken to the editor-in-chief, who admitted that he made a mistake and admitted that he should not have done this, but it was too late, it was published in 40,000 copies and they splashed Békéscsaba with it - he stated and then confirmed that there is no big problem with the specific interview and article, but with the circulation, where it was passed is what bothers him.

I am not ashamed of what is written, but that the article was published in such a dirty newspaper. I didn't give my permission for that - he said and stated that he is deeply outraged that he was used to promote himself by certain (opposition) parties and by certain opposition journalists to promote their writings. He stated that he knew exactly what the opposition had planned with this, that people would see the gypsy restaurateur as well and thus read a lot of hatred. He also brought up the closures due to covid, which he agreed with, since it was about the health of his family and colleagues, he does not understand why some restaurateurs tried to oppose and criticized the decree at the time.

Returning to the current case, he said that he feels terribly cheated and pointed out that he is not in that newspaper because he agrees with it, because, as he said, it is not about the Békés county newspaper, which is published and has varied content, but a direct it was included in an opposition form intended for the election, which upsets him.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the journalist's last name exactly, his name is Tamás. He created a flawless, completely spotless, frank article. Just not in this newspaper and not in this issue - said the restaurateur, who finds it sad that he knows the editor-in-chief personally, he doesn't know what could have happened. He would like his video to reach all the people of Békéscsaba and Hungarians, so that they know that he does not share this opinion and does not want to get involved in politics. By late Monday evening, more than 16,000 people had already viewed his digging video, 440 people spoke to him and more than a thousand agreed with the gypsy restaurateur.
