The guests of ATV's A Nap Híre program were constantly worried that the April voting could be rigged, and therefore the laundry coalition could fail, so it's good that the OSCE is counting on the possibility of full-scale monitoring to "prevent" this, as it were.
Although none of them could give specifics about what kind of fraud they were thinking of. Ex-MSZP spokeswoman Ildikó Lendvai only ventured to the extent that, in her opinion, "It is a shame that we have come to the point where, as an EU country, a full-scale OSCE monitoring is deemed necessary."
It is true that convening the OSCE falls under the government's competence, which the cabinet did not shy away from in 2014 and 2018. Now, however, twenty NGOs, mainly linked to Soros, sent the invitation requiring full-scale monitoring sooner because, as they wrote, anti-LGBTQ rhetoric has increased, among other things. I am referring to the referendum with which we want to protect our children from the entry of LGBTQ propagandists stomping at the gates of kindergartens and schools into children's institutions. Well, this is the real election fraud, isn't it, dear reader!
In other words, similar missions were present in our country during the last elections and they found everything in order. As Minister Judit Varga stated in this regard: This is "an established habit, a routine. One thing is certain: the staff of the OSCE will be able to witness a free, clean and democratic election, but this can only be fully realized if they do not try to interfere in the Hungarian elections during their mission. We trust that their visit will be free of ideological and political bias. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful country!"
Therefore, the government is not at all excited by the fact that the OSCE is now expected to have a full-scale inspection, although the organization planned to do so only in Bulgaria within the Union, but for technical reasons it did not work out either.
DK representative candidate Teodóra Jószai spoke about government cynicism in relation to Judit Varga's statement in ATV. According to him, the stakes of the elections are high because, as he said, the government side is "increasingly cynical". It seems that after he was unable to provide specific examples of the government's planned election fraud, he tried to cling to the classification of "cynicism" that says nothing. Apparently, they are definitely trying to publicize the possibility of election fraud this time as well, as if any such case could be linked to the government side. And this will obviously be the case even if, instead of the previous twenty or so, 200-250 OSCE observers now come to our country to monitor the election process and the related political environment in addition to election day.
It is interesting, however, that the OSCE was not at all that interested in Gyurcsány's self-admitted election fraud in 2006. The question is, was it not just because he was supposed to be investigating a left-wing government? It is interesting that at that time - for six years - it was Miklós Haraszti, the liberal leader of the SZDSZ, who was in charge of press freedom of the organization. What a coincidence, right?
