Today we pay HUF 480 for fuel, without the price cap it would be well over HUF 500. The measure has worked, so it will be extended by three months, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced on Saturday at the annual review held in the Várkert Bazaar.
In response to the sudden increase in the price of fuel, the government fixed the price of gasoline and diesel per liter with an upper limit of HUF 480 from November 15.
