The candidate for prime minister of the left had a few unsolicited words not only to women in general, but also to Klára Dobrev, which, however, went without a response on the part of Ferenc Gyurcsány, which is not surprising, since in the past he himself joked about "aging" wives.

Péter Márki-Zay praised Klára Dobrev Gyurcsány in a very special way in the interviews given between the two rounds of the left-wing primaries, Origo recalled yesterday. For example, the candidate of the left stated: "I am especially proud that, being a woman, she achieved such an excellent, best result in the first round." On another occasion, she said: "She was the most successful politician in Hungary in this competition because she was a woman."

The host of ATV asked back with visible embarrassment: is it important that Klára Dobrev is a woman? Márki-Zay answered: "I see that Hungarian society is much more enlightened and better-minded about this issue than many assumed." In other words, the candidate for prime minister not only despises women, but was also surprised that Hungarian society has become so "enlightened" that even a female politician can achieve success.

However, it is not surprising that Ferenc Gyurcsány was not particularly upset by these statements, since it is unforgettable when he spoke about:

"He who has an old, aging wife deserves a younger one".

And Klára Dobrev was apparently not bothered by this at all, she said: "Feri likes irony" - while twelve women's organizations protested in a joint letter because of what they thought was not a funny statement.

Márki-Zay's opinion about women is also well indicated when he mocked the fact that a Fidesz sympathizer sent him a letter and a completed crossword puzzle. "This rural Fidesz voter sent me a fully solved crossword puzzle newspaper. So it's fantastic, this poor woman, maybe she's a woman anyway, I don't know, I'm just guessing based on her spelling. (…) Well, her only flaw is that this woman sent a newspaper in which one of the crosswords was not solved, but the others were solved, but the solution is everywhere. So we don't know how well he was able to figure it out on his own," explained the left-wing prime ministerial candidate.

So, on the one hand, he deduced from the spelling mistakes that the person was a woman, and then assumed that the lady was not able to solve the crossword puzzle on her own either.

Returning to Klára Dobrev: remember, during the primary election, Márki-Zay also claimed that it would be impossible to win the election with the wife of the fallen prime minister anyway, and with that he made the DK sympathizers very angry with him. After his victory, he told Index when Klára Dobrev posted a photo together with him and encouraged his support, it was "adequate guidance" for DK voters. "We buried the hatchet," he declared. Dobrev is disciplined about this, campaigns tirelessly, and stands up for Márki-Zay again and again in her posts.

By the way, Klára Dobrev visited and campaigned in several places with Péter Márki-Zay, who recently spoke even more confusedly than usual when he declared in Komlón: "I'm glad to be here in Ózdon..."
