Péter Márki-Zay and his followers form a real sect - this became evident at the event in Hódmezővásárhely called A szódzátő szávezte, which the left-wing prime minister candidate held to celebrate his election as mayor four years ago - during the war crisis, on the memorial day for the victims of communism.
A few days ago, Mária Schmidt called Márki-Zay a sect leader and a false prophet, and after observing the event on Friday evening, this was confirmed. The beer tent set up in the main square of the city of forty-four thousand people, filled with tables and chairs, was not filled by the participants of the celebration, and only five hundred people followed the event online, but the speakers, filled with their own greatness, with shining faces, mentioned the "miracle" that happened to them in almost every sentence, Márki- with the victory of Péter Zay, and they expressed their hope that this "miracle" will be repeated nationwide.
First, Judit Péterfi, the "captain's" press chief, spoke in a hushed voice about how she stood behind Márki-Zay. Then came deputy mayor János Szabó, who
he drew a shocking parallel between the migrant crisis of 2015 and the refugees coming from Ukraine, and then explained that if on April 3, the Fidesz party does not vote for the prime ministerial candidate of the left, then Hódmezővásárhely will win, because then they will have Márki-Zay as mayor.
The speech of the Vásárhely "prophet" was led by the first man of Kübekháza, Róbert Molnár, who called the campaign team and Márki-Zay's wife and children to the stage. As a militant proselytizer, he urged that "the country must be torn from the hands of the wicked" and called the 13th month pension a charity. (Incidentally, Róbert Molnár became known in February of last year when he instructed the local doctor in a letter to vaccinate only those with the Chinese vaccine "who declare in writing that they specifically request this and accept the possible consequences".)
Molnár presented Péter Márki-Zay as the "highlight" of the evening, who asked them to think "for a second" about those fleeing the war, and after only a few seconds of silence, he stated that this is a non-political celebration, and then for about half an hour explained that everything works perfectly in Hódmezővásárhely, while the corrupt government only steals. This was partly claimed by the self-proclaimed champion of truth, honesty and transparency, referring to the data of the Corruption Research Center, so it is worth mentioning a few facts about the named organization.
The "studies" of the Corruption Research Center, partly supported by György Soros, are regularly used by the European Commission in addition to the left-wing press for country reports on Hungary, therefore the President of the Public Procurement Authority asked the Secretary General of the European Commission to review the "manipulatively produced false data content" of the Corruption Research Center. EU documents…
But after the small detour, let's return to the beer tent in Hódmezővásárhely, where the audience of a few dozen people listened to Péter Márki-Zay's favorite song, performed by the politician, his family and his campaign team:
"You are the God at whose name everything on earth and in heaven bows down..."
In the end, Róbert Molnár's announcement was greeted with cheers, as they thought they could see "the next prime minister of Hungary".
