Dániel Berg, politician of Momentum and vice-president of ALDE, announced on Facebook that Momentum's European party family, ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe) has accepted the party of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an accelerated procedure.

Ukraine is a European country, and Putin's criminal war is an attack on the entire European civilization. Today, our party family, the ALDE Party - Liberals and Democrats for Europe, held a party leadership meeting on the situation in Ukraine. In the Presidium, we voted unanimously to accept the application of Volodymyr Zelenskiy's party, The Servant of the People (Слуга народу), to join our party family in extraordinary status and with immediate effect. In a jointly adopted resolution, we urge stronger sanctions and more military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!

ALDE's European Parliament group is Renew Europe, whose members include En Marche, led by French President Emmanuel Macron, and Momentum, as well as its two members of the European Parliament, Anna Donáth and Katalin Cseh.

Momentum issued a statement on Sunday that Katalin Czech, who has been in Ukraine for several days, had a meeting with Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.

The city manager told the Momentum member of the European Parliament that the locals expect stronger and stronger sanctions from the European Union against Russia.

According to the announcement, the mayor mentioned as an example that the European Union should also take action against the Russian central bank. Andrij Sadovij also told the Hungarian politician that Ukraine counts on the humanitarian and military aid of the European Union, just as it counts on the help of international aid organizations.

The librarians of the EU have again done something they cannot do (although they have done this many times in relation to Hungarian affairs, except that we are a member country!). A non-EU country was practically taken in by themselves. Because they believe that a party from a non-EU country can be included in any party family of the Union. This is legal nonsense! Just as Ursula von der Leyen cannot admit Ukraine (which does not meet any of the admission criteria) to the EU.
