In Bács-Kiskun county, the police arrested a total of 92 border violators in 12 cases, while in Csongrád-Csanád county, the patrols arrested a total of 108 border violators in 21 cases.
In Békés county, 1 in Békéscsabán, 10 in Fejér county, in the outskirts of Bakonycsernye, in Győr-Moson-Sopron county, in the outskirts of Mosonszentmiklós and Sopronkőhida, a total of 9 border violators were arrested.
During the inspection, the detained illegal migrants claimed to be citizens of Syria, Afghanistan, Turkey, Iraq, Morocco, Palestine, Egypt, Kosovo, Nepal, Pakistan, India, Tunisia and Somalia, but they could not credibly prove their identity or the legality of their stay in Hungary. The police escorted them back to the temporary border security checkpoint in accordance with the current Hungarian legislation.
In Hungary, in the last 24 hours, 2 people were arrested for illegal border crossing, and in three cases criminal proceedings were initiated against 5 people for human smuggling.
