I saw a fantastic performance of a brilliant play on Sunday afternoon. The Beregsász theater company was stuck here because of the war, or rather fled here - because the actors are also conscripted to defend Ukraine - and Attila Vidnyánszky provided them with a series of performances at the National Theatre.
Örkény Tóték is about freedom. More precisely, about freedom of speech! How long can a person tolerate being silent, how long is he willing to walk with a helmet over his eyes, with a flashlight in his mouth, how long is he willing to eliminate thinking from his head, which cannot succeed anyway. As fire chief Lajos Tót puts it:
"forgive the world, it's still hard to prevent something from coming to mind."
Well, this goes on for a while, but the man rebels and proudly cuts the one who oppresses and humiliates him in four with his paper cutter.
The fool - the postman - hides the truth, according to which there is no need to pity the oppressor - the major coming to freedom - since the boy they are doing it for is already dead. A fool who hides the truth because it causes greater trouble, or tragedy, if you will.
Fools are those who, PÍSZÍ (politically correct/PC), give their names to the many insanities that eventually lead to tragedies. The Western mainstream media has enormous capacity to make people accept unnatural things. For example, that
the freedom is so great that my own holy individual can decide whether I am a boy or a girl, and even waving a rainbow flag, we support our child's sex-change intentions - horribile dictu - sex-change surgeries.
Our main concern is that there should be a urinal for the girls as well, that we call mother and father as singular or dual parents, who may both be men or women. That men can also give birth with a little skill is nothing to see here! Bachelorettes! This is not funny!
Don't even think that you are a member of a nation. A son and daughter of a people, a nation (aww!). Don't, because blood turns to water, black to white (rather the other way around), and for traditions, head to the open-air museum.
Don't recognize yourself in faith, Christianity, history, love for each other, but take on new identities: brand loyalty, Coca-Cola-ness, Bennettonness, Mercedesism.
In this way, you will be recognized all over the world, and the chain of McDonald's restaurants is just right for a church or a community center. And false prophets - Tótek's majors - come and go in the world to make you believe that every nation has the same boxes, at most one is small, the other is big, one is colored, the other is white. But a box, a box!
And of course PÍSZÍ also censors. He walks among us with a strict image and looks down on us when we voice our normal position against so much nonsense:
what a retard you are! - raise your eyebrows that you go to church on Sundays with your children and grandchildren, that you talk about the unity of Hungarians, that for you family is: man-woman-child and that you wear a cockade instead of a blue ribbon!
"We want the freedom of the press and the abolition of censorship," the young people of March formulated their creed as the first point of their demands. They seized the printing press, printed newspapers and leaflets, and proclaimed the rise of the nation. "Should we be prisoners or free," asks Petőfi! The question is, of course, a poetic one, because who would want to be a prisoner, walking around with a helmet over his eyes and a flashlight in his mouth. Who wants to have even their thoughts censored or bite their tongue in the grip of self-censorship if they want to speak the truth soberly?
What does the Hungarian nation want? Let there be peace, freedom, harmony! - the heroes of our glorious revolution and freedom struggle described the national minimum in the introduction to the 12 points.
There is no wish more relevant today! There is a war going on in our neighbor, which can easily spread to us, or to our Transcarpathian brothers, if our politicians make irresponsible, filthy statements that please the West, and they carry weight even if they are made by the opposition. (Helmet pulled over the eyes again!)
In this situation, the agreement that we should not drift into war should override everything.
We should forget the left's constant pressure to conform to the West, and keep Hungarian interests in mind!
They should finally - at least now - take note of the fact that the extent of our nation does not end at the national border and that we are also responsible for our compatriots who live beyond it.
And let there be freedom! That "we men remain men and women remain women, free, kind..."
Let's take the flashlights out of our mouths, march out into the street, into the spring, and hold each other's arms like fifty-six-year-olds. And then we notice that more and more people will be walking beside us, our fellow citizens and their families and children, because we want to feel together that we are of the same blood, one nation, one people.
Long live Hungarian freedom! Long live the homeland!
