Ágnes Kunhalmi made a surprising statement: the socialist politician essentially admitted that the Hungarian government is doing the right thing in the war, and that this is why the Hungarian opposition is in a difficult situation.
Appearing at a campaign event, Kunhalmi spoke about how the Hungarian government and the prime minister manage the country well in a difficult situation, Index.hu reported.
The Vienna Fidelitas published a recording of the campaign event, on which you can hear Kunhalmi first speaking critically of the Hungarian government, but then continuing by saying: "but Orbán acted well in this tense situation. When it was necessary, he accepted the sanctions, and sure enough, he started to communicate and act as expected from a NATO member state and a European Union country".
This is why, among other things, the Hungarian opposition is in a crucially difficult situation, because if you ask me what we would have done in this critical situation: the same, said the MSZP politician.
