About a thousand schools have been renovated in recent years, there is no region or corner of the country where an educational institution has not been modernized, said the president of the Klebelsberg Center on Monday in Debrecen.
Gabriella Hajnal said that the government spent a lot on infrastructural and professional renewal of schools.
110 institutions won the Human Resources Development Operative Program (EFOP) tender 4.1.2, the government increased the original 60.1 billion resources by more than 24 billion so that all applicants could receive support, explained the president.
László Pósán, Fidesz Member of Parliament, the candidate for the Government Party Member of Parliament for constituency No. 2 in Debrecen, referring to the local school improvements, added: these are "such solid foundations that put the city's 21st century history on a firm footing", in Debrecen they are "building an important citadel of Hungarian education". .
Mayor László Papp (Fidesz-KDNP) reminded that in 2014, when he took over the leadership of the city, he promised that over ten million forints would be spent on the development of education in the city. This commitment was fulfilled for this year with the cooperation of the school district, the vocational training center and the municipality, he added.
Mrs. András Vántus, deputy professional director of the Debrecen Tankerületi Központ, indicated that the infrastructural renovation of the Petőfi school cost 1.2 billion forints. HUF 750 million was spent on the energy modernization of the Medgyessy art high school and the Fazekas elementary school - the former was also handed over in Debrecen on Monday.
