Shall we list the reasons? For what? A collection of nonsense may be interesting, but certainly not meaningful. Because in fact there is only one reason for the failure - they offered a damaged product for purchase. themselves. Well, that something called a program.
Let's see, who are they?
Ferenc Gyurcsány - the most rejected politician, because during his prime ministership he incited terror police against peaceful citizens. Meg sent him to the floor, brought the country to the brink of bankruptcy. He lied morning, night and night. Who needs it? And who needs a wife who proclaims (not openly, of course, but even covers it with nice words) that she does not want an independent Hungary, that she envisions a United States of Europe, and pays tribute to the "New Moscow" with broad tongue-lashings. Oh no!
Gregory Christmas ? The giant baby, who stares into the blind world with alarmed, sad eyes, who is unable to drive not only the capital, but also a car. Under whose "rule" a perfectly corrupt system operates in the capital, whose name is associated with the perfect chaos in Budapest? Who can't take responsibility for any of his actions? Come on!
András Fekete-Győr ? His greatest achievement is that he and his party deprived us of a big dream, the hosting of the Olympics. Apart from that, he could only threaten, let's not forget, he said that he would ban journalists he didn't like from their profession, his agents ( Katalin Cseh and Anna Donáth ) are spectacularly campaigning against their country, he swallowed Czech's EU fraud, he just waved at it, although until the explosion of the scandal, he announced above that such cases would be investigated in his party. This is the total performance. Thanks, but no.
Peter Jakab ? The potato bug? The Parisian hussar? The ex-Nazi? The demagogue who nullified his party? God save him!
Péter Márki-Zay ? The Christian who bends the laws of his religion? The one on the right who represents communists and fascists at the same time? The confused-headed agent who clearly indicated that if NATO says to jump into the well, then those who don't want to will be pushed into it with their own hands? (If NATO decides, even our soldiers - our children, our grandchildren - would be sacrificed in the war of a foreign country that is not at all friendly to us.) Would someone who says white in the morning and black in the evening about the same thing be suitable for prime minister? Who doesn't even know how many children they have? Who, in his great love, promised his political opponents a lamp iron? Impossibility!
Bertalan Tóth ? Who is that? (For those who don't know, he is the hardly noticeable co-chairman of the MSZP.) Come on!
But let's not forget their program. Which didn't exist. To replace the "Orbán dictatorship" is not a program, but a wishful dream. Practically, it is the hope of making a dent in the coffers of the country. This may be an important program for them, but not for the voters. In fact!
Finally, one more important fact. It is not the electoral system's fault that the Fidesz-KDNP government cannot be replaced either individually or together. If that were the case, the conservative side should have won in the liberal-Bolshevik capital as well (thanks to a good number of exceptions). He didn't win. How is it that this cursed system is not cursed in Budapest, only in the countryside?
Although I don't like to give advice, because I don't want a communist or liberal government in the middle of my back, I will still tell you how the opposition can win.
By getting more votes than your opponent. As Fidesz-KDNP did in the spring of 2022.
