Péter Márki-Zay, leader of the fallen leftist list, admitted that there was indeed contact between his staff and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. The subject of the conversations was that they would give him all the help they could if they had the opportunity after the elections. Márki-Zay previously called the background negotiations a lie, but now he unmasked himself.
Péter Márki-Zay started his usual live video on Sunday, now without András Simon. In his more than one-hour check-in, he mentioned, among other things, that they had indeed discussed with the staff of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that they would provide him with any help. The left's failed candidate for prime minister continued to stand by the phrase "Ukrainians are fighting our war".
Among other things, Márki-Zay talked about giving any help to Zelenskiy. He spoke about the contact with the Ukrainian president's staff, which was previously denied.
"They already organized it, so we wanted to talk to Mr. Zelensky. It didn't work because there was a bomb alarm in Kiev. Otherwise, I would have been very happy to talk to him," said Márki-Zay, who later added that "unfortunately, I didn't talk to Mr. Zelenskiy, but I would be very open to it, of course I am very honored."
Previously, Márki-Zay confirmed his earlier statement that:
"When I say that the Ukrainians are fighting our war, that was also said in that speech, but obviously most people don't listen to it."
The failed left-wing prime minister candidate thus admitted that the campaign staffs had indeed consulted with Zelenskiy and thus would have plunged the country into war.
Márki-Zay previously called the background negotiations a lie, but now he unmasked himself. As we previously reported, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was displeased by the statement made by the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó on March 21 at the Council of Foreign Ministers in Brussels, according to which Hungary opposes the no-fly zone over Ukraine and the sending of land units classified as peacekeepers.
Szijjártó made it clear at the meeting that our country will not deliver weapons to Ukraine, nor will it allow weapons shipments to pass through the territory of Hungary. The Magyar Nemzet learned that after the position of the head of Hungarian diplomacy, Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba called the Ukrainian ambassador in Budapest and asked Ljubov Nepop about how to help the left-wing opposition win the election. The paper was informed by a national security source that contact was made between the staff of left-wing prime minister candidate Péter Márki-Zay and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
The behind-the-scenes cooperation between Zelenskyi and Márki-Zay was not at all surprising, as the left-wing prime ministerial candidate has repeatedly stated that he would send weapons and Hungarian soldiers to Ukraine in addition to imposing harsh sanctions. The fact that both of them are influenced by the current US administration, with Joe Biden, cannot be neglected either.
By the way, in a March 29 video, Zelensky expected to send weapons and soldiers to Ukraine in the event of a possible electoral victory of the left.
