Before MZP, they first experimented with Kárácson, but the risk was quickly proven for him as well. The clan's answer to this was Dobrev, who could still be presented as a new character compared to her husband, said political scientist Béla Galló on the Gondola portal. But this was still not reassuring for the control panel outside, and that's when the MZP, which was still in the field of the runners up to that point, was thrown in.

- Mr. Galló, it only took hours after the election, the opposition politicians fell for each other. Ferenc Gyurcsány immediately Péter Márki-Zay , he was a bad captain, he concluded. Márki-Zay is largely a Gyurcsány creature. Can the president of DK wash his hands?

- He can wash and wash, since he remained the president of the largest opposition party within the great common failure. But I don't think he created MZP himself. Márki-Zay was put on his head from the outside, as they saw a serious risk in the Szemlőhegy clan, as far as their chances of victory are concerned. Let's remember: before MZP, they first experimented with Kárácsonny, but the risk was quickly proven for him as well. The clan's answer to this was Dobrev, who could still be presented as a new character compared to her husband. But this was still not reassuring for the control panel outside, and that's when the MZP, which was still in the field of the runners up to that point, was thrown in. The "Hungarian" sounds of the control panel, hip-hop, discovered the ideal candidate in him. "Christian, conservative, head of a rural family with many children", etc., who can attack the government parties on his own turf. And wonder of wonders, so-called "friendly" pollsters in the direction of the opposition rated Márki-Zay as a candidate within 24 hours of the primary election. Karácsony immediately knew what this meant, because he had been a part of such quick and great miracles before, as a pollster. The clan, on the other hand, bit their teeth, but they were much smarter than to openly oppose it. Gyurcsány remained conspicuously silent in the background. And of course they were also surprised by the candidate's incompetence. They saw how quickly he "worked" himself, and they knew that they would be the ones left on the stage after that. So it was. Now they can openly say that MZP is a "bad captain".

- Party chairman Jakab also stated: they will continue politicking without Márki-Zay. Do the right-wingers realize that Márki-Zay's disastrous speeches could only have been delivered with the support of Jakab? So Jakab is also responsible.

- The story of Jobbik's decline began with Vona, who was a more talented politician than Jakab. He made the mistake as an honored guest of the Spinoza house. First of all, he believed that he would not only use the metropolitan "elite" politically, but also accept him as an equal partner, namely together with his party. His second mistake was even bigger: he thought that all this (if it happened at all) was to his party's liking. National radicalism can always be 10-15%, or even slightly more, but it can hardly become popular, it is not in the structure of Hungarian society. Don't get me wrong, this is not a folk-urban contrast, this is sociology and social psychology. The silent majority in Hungary belongs to national conservatism, unless extreme ideologies are imposed on it from the outside. Neither Vona, nor Jakab, nor Márki-Zay were aware of this, both continued to erode the ruins of the Vona party. It is sad now to read the current outbursts of opposition intellectuals after the defeat, in which the racism of the "liberal" elite in the big city boils down to anti-rural... At the time, the hosts at the Spinoza House - from a higher electoral point of view - merely put this in parentheses.

– Márki-Zay himself also evaluated: according to him, the cause of the serious defeat was Gyurcsány and Jobbik. We could describe the developments as a farce, but these people will be in the parliament for four years for a huge salary, and they will create hysteria instead of work. This would be democracy, and why not this?

– It is not a farce, a tragicomedy, as the MZP phenomenon itself is. It's a comedy for media consumers (profit for the media, because it increases the number of clicks), and tragic for the country, not only because we pay them again for four years, but also because we pay the long-term price. However, now the Hungarian ship will not have to be steered in any international storms, and this would require all common sense. We should think seriously and jointly about whether it is legal that for quite some time now, on the opposition side, we can only choose between very bad or even worse offers. The performance of the government can and should be discussed in a democracy, but this would also require the performance of the opposition, which has been missing for a long time. This probably also explains the four 2/3 wins. The drop in quality of personnel, which has been conspicuously visible, for example, in the so-called "left" Gyula Horn , although he was not the Mozart of politics either. And nowadays there are figures competing in the entire opposition field, whose modest level of knowledge does not prevent them from pushing their grandiose ideas on us. In other words, democracy would require a change of opposition, preferably as soon as possible.
