In a statement, the Christian Democratic People's Party commemorated the tragedy of Hungarian Jews, the Holocaust in Hungary.

"Since 2001, every year on April 16, we commemorate the victims of the Holocaust in Hungary. This day directs our attention to a dark moment in Hungarian history. In 1944, the ghettoization of Hungarian Jews began, the goal of which was to completely separate them from the rest of the population. This shameful process with deportations ultimately led to the death of hundreds of thousands of our compatriots.

Remembrance is not only a driving force for the victims, but also a responsible transfer of past experiences to the next generation.

History often repeats itself, but we can and even should learn from the mistakes of our predecessors. only
possible to live in peace by respecting each other, dialogue and cooperation , only in this way can the individual be fulfilled and the nation enriched by him. The surest guarantee for this lies in Christian Democratic politics.

The government of Hungary is doing everything to ensure that the citizens of the country can live in safety and peace, and this stability and consistency is extremely necessary because of the war going on in our neighborhood. All lives are equally valuable, violence must not be allowed to dominate the world! Let's remember the victims of the Holocaust and don't let it happen again!
