According to three-quarters of opposition voters, Gyurcsány's retirement would facilitate a change of government.

The financial and media supremacy of Fidesz was primarily the cause of the new two-thirds victory in the April 3 elections, opposition voters say. In the latest survey by the Compass Institute, which is close to Jobbik, every second respondent holds the opposition at least partially responsible for this, 24.hu wrote.

47 percent of the respondents blamed Fidesz's superiority in resources, while 20 percent blamed the opposition for the result of the election. The survey is usually conducted on a sample of 1,850 people, but the current questions were only asked of the 852 respondents who did not or did not vote for Fidesz.

On the issue of responsibility, Márki-Zay was mentioned most often

When it came to personal responsibility within the opposition, 26 percent of respondents said that everyone was equally responsible for their defeat.

The Péter Márki-Zay Ferenc Gyurcsány was just behind him (19 percent).

Regarding Gyurcsány, they asked separately whether his possible retirement would improve the opposition's chances.

According to the vast majority of respondents, yes: three quarters of non-government voters say that there would be more chances for a change of government if Gyurcsány retired.

Unsurprisingly, only the majority of DK-party voters do not agree with this statement - although 42 percent in their camp also answered yes to this question - while the other extreme was represented by 89 percent of Momentum voters. Much fewer, only 49 percent, expect the same effect from Márki-Zay's eventual retirement.
