The Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (KKM) have signed a cooperation agreement on the support of Hungarian cultural diplomacy programs, the KKM announced on Friday.
The long-term agreement was signed by Gábor Richly, secretary general of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, and Márton Schőberl, deputy state secretary responsible for cultural diplomacy, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, on Friday at the MMA headquarters in Pesti Vigado.
The purpose of the agreement is to formalize the cooperation between the two institutions in the field of presenting and promoting the outstanding values of Hungarian art abroad. The joint programs are primarily implemented with the involvement of Hungarian cultural centers abroad - the Liszt Institutes - which will pay special attention to the presentation of MMA artists abroad when planning their programs.
In the last ten years, MMA has organized about 150 foreign projects, which appeared in about 200 locations from Belgrade to Seoul, from Krakow to Tokyo, from Los Angeles to Beijing, from Sofia to Tehran.
