Yevgeny Prigozhin, an oligarch close to Russian President Vladimir Putin who has been linked to a Russian mercenary group, attacked "Western civilization" and denied Russian atrocities in a report on Wednesday, the Times of Israel reported

Prigozhin allegedly funds the Wagner Group, a Kremlin-linked mercenary army accused of crimes in Ukraine, Syria and Africa.

In a report in the Guardian on Wednesday, the oligarch claimed that the West supports terrorist groups in Africa but is ultimately a dying civilization that will be defeated.

The newspaper asked Prigozhin to respond to claims that Wagner's mercenaries are fighting alongside the Malian army against rebels and have killed hundreds of civilians.

"Every terrorist killed by the Malian army was tried by the West to pass off as a civilian"

- He told.

“As for the alleged atrocities, neither I, nor the people I know, nor the Malian army have committed them,” he said.

"You are a dying Western civilization that considers Russians, Malians, Central Africans, Cubans, Nicaraguans and many other peoples and countries Third World scum," Prigozhin declared.

"You are pathetic, endangered perverts, there are many of us, billions of us. And victory will be ours"

- claimed the oligarch.

Prigozhin accused the West, namely the United States, Great Britain, France, of

"they want to tame Africa and have been installing and organizing terrorist groups in Mali for years." According to him, this is being done "to keep the country's population in fear, to rob its natural resources, and to write off the money intended for so-called peacekeeping operations."

Prigozhin emphasized that he had "repeatedly stated that the Wagner group does not exist" and also claimed that he had "nothing to do" with the organization.

The businessman also hit out at The Guardian, accusing it of spreading "falsifications, outright lies" and "falsification" while aiming to "spit in my face, the Russian patriots and the Malian people".

"There is a proverb: Don't try to swim against the wind, because you will drown in the splash. These atrocities were committed in your inflamed brains infected by the disease called 'Nazism,'" said the Russian man.
