According to him, when Ukraine regains everything that Russia took from it. The only catch is that the Russians are the same way: they want to get back what they feel is theirs.

In an online speech to students of leading French universities, representatives of academia and the media, the President of Ukraine said:

"The war will end for the Ukrainian people only when we get back what is ours. We don't need more, we just need what is ours. We want to return peace to our state and land."

Zelensky noted that the chances of ending the war diplomatically are diminishing.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that negotiations between the two sides are ongoing, but progress is not easy. Partly because of this

He blamed "the belligerent rhetoric and inflammatory actions of the Western supporters of the Kiev government".

According to him, in recent years, the United States and its allies have done nothing to stop the conflict inside Ukraine, in fact, they have "pumped up" the Kiev regime with weapons, trained and armed the Ukrainian army and nationalist battalions, and

they generally encouraged the aggressive anti-Russian line pursued by the authorities in Kyiv.

It was these conditions that gave Russia "no choice" but to recognize the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and launch a "special military operation" to demilitarize and de-Nazify Ukraine.

In fact, NATO countries are "doing everything to prevent" the ceasefire negotiated with Ukraine, Lavrov said earlier.
