5,670 people entered the Ukrainian-Hungarian border section, while 5,777 of those who entered the Romanian-Hungarian border section declared that they came from Ukraine, the National Police Headquarters announced.
Among those admitted, the police issued temporary residence certificates to 463 people, which are valid for 30 days. They must visit the office of the National Directorate General of Immigration, which is competent for their place of residence, in order to obtain the final documents, the ORFK informed.
Before the war in Ukraine, 305 people, including 89 children, arrived in Budapest by train on Thursday, they announced.
The Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) announced on Friday on the police.hu website that it is assisting refugees arriving by train from Ukraine with the Emergency Police and those participating in police patrol training. The Budapest Civil Guard Association also provides support in the tasks.
The police are in constant contact with the General Directorate of Disaster Prevention, the General Directorate of the National Immigration Police, the Hungarian State Railways Ltd., the Budapest Transportation Center, the Police Directorate of the Metropolitan Municipality, the Government Office of the Capital City of Budapest, as well as the staff of aid organizations, the announcement states.
