Shmuel Rabinowitz, the rabbi of the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) in Jerusalem and the holy places, sent a congratulatory letter to Viktor Orbán on the occasion of his re-election as prime minister, Bertalan Havasi, the deputy state secretary in charge of the Prime Minister's Press Office, told MTI on Wednesday.
In his letter written on behalf of the Wailing Wall worshippers, the rabbi writes that the Hungarian Jewish community is one of the largest and most magnificent, and today Hungary is one of the most important friends of the State of Israel in Europe.
These are the days of wayfinding and waiting for a miracle all over the world. The peoples of the world are trying to pave their way in the changing reality. I believe that going back to the roots will give us the answers we are looking for
- explained Shmuel Rabinowitz, who wished the entire Hungarian people and Viktor Orbán many years of blessed work, prosperity, health and joy.
Bertalan Havasi reminded: During his trip to Israel in 2018, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz accompanied Viktor Orbán during his visit to the Wailing Wall.
