Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday evening, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister's press chief, informed MTI.
He said: the two leaders reviewed the situation in Ukraine, which both consider worrying.
Viktor Orbán confirmed: Hungary, as before, is ready to be a part of the European Union's anti-war efforts. At the same time, he insisted that Hungary will not put its energy supply at risk, that this should neither be a game of chance nor a field for experimentation.
Therefore, before any energy-related sanctions are put on the table, solutions to the concerns of the EU member states must first be found - explained Bertalan Havasi, adding:
Viktor Orbán and Boris Johnson agreed to remain in close contact with each other.
