"In the end, the whole Jobbik adventure did not have a noticeable effect on the Hungarian party structure and the election results, since Fidesz won a two-thirds majority in all four elections that were dominated by Jobbik.

This political strategy only moved voters here and there, but in the end it did not lead to the strengthening of the left in any case. In 2014 and 2018, when they formally launched separately, they were much stronger together than in 2022, when they joined forces. Not only did MZP's insanity, the war and the frailty of their other politicians play a role in this, but also the fact that a significant part of Jobbik's original voters were never willing to vote for the liberals one-on-one. He was not willing to do this even when the MSZP was in full force. The SZDSZ, the old mother of all devils, was hated not only by the majority of MSZP politicians, but also by the party's voters. They took this disgust with them when they voted for Jobbik, predetermining the results of several elections. It is a special feat on the part of the opposition that they were able to maintain this feeling not only in Fidesz voters, but also in Jobbik, even 12 years after the inglorious end of their government.

Voters can be kept in for a few election cycles with certain well-executed communication traps. Such was the »third way« for a short time, such is the various versions of radical criticism of the system or the ultra-liberal anti-Hungarianism preferred by the SZDSZ. Just as the mood campaign of the MSZP "even the peace years of Kádár can be brought back" was gone by 2006.

But these communication feats were never accompanied by left-wing government performance, nor were the worn-out attempts as an opposition party able to show an appreciable production. The unparalleled stability of the Hungarian party system and political life gives even non-existent parties the opportunity to keep joke parties that take themselves seriously in parliament for up to two terms. Everyone clearly knows that neither the LMP, nor Párbeszéd, nor Jobbik, nor the MSZP would have been able to start alone in 2022 with candidates that can be taken seriously in all constituencies and a campaign that can be interpreted independently. This is also the case with Momentum, but the coalition still kept five practically non-existent parties inside and brought them into the Parliament. Currently, there is a far-right (Mi Hazánk) and an ultra-liberal (DK) real opposition party in the Honorable House, the other five are just a weak joke each. Some don't even have a Potocskáné."
