The first 22 km section of the Budapest-Balaton cycle path was handed over. One of the hosts of the event was András Aradszky, a member of parliament for the Érd region, but Chancellor Gergely Gulyás also appeared in sports pants, arriving on a bicycle to the location of the handover. It is interesting that a local referendum is being held in Biatorbágy today on whether the cycle path should avoid the small town or whether it should run on the sidewalk in front of the houses.
The first section of the Budapest-Balaton (BuBa) cycle path, much awaited by many bikers, was handed over. The new 22 km cycle path makes it possible to cycle safely and comfortably from Budapest to Etyek. In this section, cyclists can cycle on a newly built, independent cycle path separated from car traffic for more than 9 km. It requires a good level of fitness because there are several climbs to be climbed between Biatorbágy and Etyek.
At the handing over of the first section of the bike path, all the parliamentarians involved were present, including András Aradszki, the representative of the Érd region. Chancellery Minister Gergely Gulyás, who can often be seen jogging in the 12th district, came to the ceremony on a bicycle in sports equipment, so cycling is not far from the young minister.
After Etyek, the cycle path will reach the Lake Velence cycle ring through the settlements of Gyúró and Tordas, and then, touching Székesfehérvár, it will join the Balaton cycle cycle ring along road 7. The entire section of BuBa will be completed and handed over this year, András Aradszki writes on his social media page.
