As commander-in-chief of the army, I am also responsible for the security of the Hungarian people. Especially now, when there is a war in our immediate neighborhood - President of the Republic Katalin Novák began her Facebook post on Wednesday.
He then continued:
That is why today I visited the most sensitive part of the country's border - the north-eastern border with Ukraine - and the soldiers stationed there. I was able to convince myself of the preparedness of our soldiers, as well as the tangible results of the Hungarian military development.
We will do everything for peace at home and abroad. In the meantime, however, we are prepared for any situation that could threaten the security of the Hungarian people.
I thank the Hungarian soldiers for their work and their families.
