The task of a government and the state is to protect the population and the nation from shocks and crises, explained the President of the Parliament in his presentation at the Rákóczi Free University in Sátoraljaújhely on Friday.
László Kövér recalled in the panel discussion "The decade of crises, Hungary and the wider world", in the more than three decades that have passed since the system change, smaller and bigger financial, economic and political crises have alternated around the world and in Europe, starting with the 2008 economic crisis, the coronavirus epidemic and the through migration to the war in Ukraine.
Modern Europe has not experienced such a crisis since the Second World War as it has in the last thirty years, he said, emphasizing that while searching for ways out, opportunities must be created that, in addition to solving the problem, allow a fresh start at a higher level.
