The city edition of the Awake festival will be held this weekend in Marosvásárhely, which will include concerts and round table discussions. Entry is free, but subject to a number of conditions.
In the Marosvásárhely castle, the public will be welcomed with two stages, Feed your mind with talks, and unique light installations every afternoon between July 8-10, but there will also be a bazaar where you can see and buy unique jewelry, clothes, and household items.
According to the organizers, on Friday you can look back on the recording of the Vita de Vie concert performed at the Awake festival held in Teleki Kastély in Gernyeszeg in 2018, where they dazzled the audience together with the Marosvásárhely Philharmonic Orchestra. On Saturday, Flatsharks and JazzyBIT will perform on the main stage from 7:30 p.m., sZempöl will perform from 8:45 p.m., and Akua Naru's concert will close the evening.
On Sunday, Koszika & The HotShots will open the party from 6:30 p.m., followed by Gramofone, Jazzbois and finally the Deliric X Silent Strike & Muse Quartet concert. On the small stage, disc jockeys entertain the interested on all three nights. As we have become accustomed to in previous editions, at the Awake festival, the emphasis is not only on music, they organize a real community event. So, in addition to the concerts, there will also be board game days this year, but tattoo artists from Vásárhely will also present themselves, and we can get to know the cake workshop that also provides sweets for the Romanian royal family.
