The southern border is practically under siege and this is not a political communication exaggeration, but the reality - warned Péter Szijjártó Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in his Facebook video published on Monday morning.
The head of the ministry said: Interior Minister Sándor Pintér showed videos about what is happening at the southern border at the last government meeting.
"The migrants are practically armed, they come to the border fence as paramilitary units, throw the ladder at it, take out their weapons, the glass balls that they fire from slingshots. All this can cause serious injuries. They attack the police: they throw stones and pieces of concrete at them"
- explained Szijjártó, who believes that the only antidote to this is the firm and tough protection of the southern border.
