Interim municipal elections were held again on Sunday, and it can be said that Fidesz was mostly able to win with a huge margin.

In Szentendre, in the 10th individual electoral district, Fidesz candidate András Szabados won by almost two-thirds, obtaining 65 percent of the votes. Réka Puskás finished in second place, with only 28.82 percent.

By-elections were also held in Salgótarján, and Csaba Szabó of Fidesz lost to the independent József Ludányi in the 7th individual electoral district by a margin of only eight votes.

There was a huge success for the government party in Esztergom, where Krisztián Varga of Fidesz won with 85.82 percent of the votes in individual electoral district No. 1, while Szilveszter Méhes of Mi hazánk managed to get only 14.18 percent.

In the by-elections in Mezőtúr, Fidesz candidate Dániel Szűcs won 60.66 percent, so he will be the new mayor.
