The head of a Bavarian clinic reported that many hospitals suffer from a severe labor shortage, and they also have to cope with brutal energy costs and inflation.
According to a report by the V4NA news agency, the covid epidemic has dealt a serious blow to the German health care system, and now they have to fight inflation, in addition, the system lacks a lot of specialists, and in many places they can hardly afford to care for patients. War-induced inflation and runaway utility costs are also taking their toll. the system, as this currently makes developments and energy investments impossible.
750,000 euros in additional costs for electricity and gas are to be expected - stated the head of one of the Schwabmünchen clinics, according to whom most of the society has not yet realized how dramatic the situation is : they are moving towards a reduction of services, to such an extent that they are no longer on their own it stands to reason that someone will immediately find a hospital where they can treat him.
Additional costs could be mitigated with improvements, but the clinics currently do not have the money for this. In his opinion, it is a common view among doctors that politics does not pay enough attention to the problems of clinics, especially the lack of labor, because they simply do not spend enough money to make it worth staying in the profession.
