Viktor Marsai, research director of the Migration Research Institute, told Magyar Nemzet about the shootings in Serbia linked to migrants. According to the lecturer of the National Public Service University, the migrants could not have set fire to the Makkhetes forest on purpose, as it also serves as an important hiding place for them.
- The border clashes are similar to the gang wars in Mexico. Don't forget, we are talking about huge sums, huge amounts of money. Millions of euros and dollars change hands, which human traffickers want to protect, he said in relation to the incidents in Serbia linked to migrants.
As is well known, in recent weeks, shootings could be heard in Horgos and Martonos, and in addition, there were armed clashes that claimed twice as many lives in the Makkhetes forest, which is occupied by migrants, near Subotica. The grove caught fire twice, allegedly due to illegal immigrants camping in the forest. The lecturer of the National University of Public Service stated that most of these high-profile events can be linked to human trafficking groups.
As he indicated, there are also tensions among migrants, they cannot be interpreted as a homogeneous community. – At least they are separated from each other according to nationality and citizenship. Moroccans hate Algerians, everyone fears Afghans, they don't socialize with them. There were fights and stabbings in the reception centers before, he reminded.
