Gömör és Nógrád Rádió is the radio of the more than 1,000-year-old historical counties of Gömör and Nógrád, defined by our King St. István when the state was founded, so it is no coincidence that it started broadcasting on August 20, 2022.
The aim of the radio's volunteer staff is to entertain and inform the Hungarian-speaking population living in the Carpathian Basin, in addition to presenting this fairytale region waking up from the Sleeping Beauty's dream.
"The main goal of our radio is to strengthen the Christian faith and national self-awareness and patriotism, based on national conservative, Christian foundations. We only broadcast songs by Hungarian artists 24 hours a day, including local, Gyömör and Nógrád artists. We provide regional social, political, cultural, cultural and sports news from Gömör and Nógrád, supplemented by news from the wider world. Our goal is to build community and strengthen cooperation in the region. Our mission is to present and promote Gömör and Nógrád as a tourist destination worldwide. By advertising the products and services of small, medium and large companies, our goal is to boost international trade," they write.
The online radio is made with the help of volunteers and supporters. Its mission is to serve our nation and homeland through social cooperation.
"Man dreams. He asks for God's help so that he can fly up as the first swallow and set an example. That in addition to setting an example, he serves his nation and his homeland because he feels and knows that he has a mission. And our Creator sends helpers beside him, without whom man would not be able to realize his dreams. Without the 8-month work and voice of our volunteer team, our radio would not have been possible," said Dr. László Bódi .
