The majority of left-wing parties exist as media parties, i.e. they appear in the news and in some programs, but they are not among the people, so they don't even know what the Hungarians want - said Bálint Rotyis, analyst of the Nézőpont Institute, in an interview with Origo. According to Rotyis, today's opposition is no longer taken seriously by voters critical of the government. He added: if the opposition were really interested in the fate of teachers, they should rather fight for Brussels to start disbursing the financial resources due to Hungary as soon as possible. The analyst also talked about Jobbik, the campaign money received from America and what could await the left-wing parties if they do not change.

At last week's left-wing demonstration, actor Zsolt Nagy screamed almost unintelligibly on stage, and many thought he was drunk. If that wasn't enough, only a few people hung out at the protest organized for the teachers. What does this say about the current state of the left?

Already since 2010, left-wing politicians and their affiliated civil and seemingly professional organizations

THE ISSUE OF EDUCATION IS ACTIVELY USED FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES. SOME OF THE PREVIOUS PROTESTS WERE ABLE TO MOVE EVEN MORE SIGNIFICANT CROWDS, NOW THIS FORM OF PROTESTS IS BEGINNING TO BE TIRED.

There are two main reasons for this. On the one hand

MOST OF THE LEFT PARTIES EXIST AS MEDIA PARTIES, IE THEY APPEAR IN THE NEWS AND SOME SHOWS, BUT THEY ARE NOT AMONG THE PEOPLE, SO THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HUNGARIANS WANT.

There is a lack of activists and grassroots organizations, there is no local embeddedness, so it is not possible to mobilize. Otherwise

EVEN VOTERS CRITICAL OF THE GOVERNMENT DO NOT TAKE TODAY'S OPPOSITION SERIOUSLY.

Since the parliamentary elections in April, there are fewer and fewer people who believe that the current left-wing elite can represent the interests of the people and lead a city or even a country.

The aforementioned demonstration was full of politicians, from Gergely Karácsony to Ágnes Kunhalmi and András Fekete-Győr to Péter Márki-Zay. Each of them tried to explain how the event became a political demonstration. What do they hope for on the left from such a movement?

Today, the left-wing elite is completely empty, politicians who have been humiliated many times are still trying to make a living from politics.

All they do is wait for Brussels, the left-wing media, or seemingly civil organizations to create a case, and as soon as the first protester appears on the street, the left will jump on the event. They take to the streets in the hope that with their presence they can increase the support of their own small dwarf party by a few thousand people.

Ferenc Gyurcsány's salami policy also makes small parties impossible. He is aware that the other opposition parties exist only in the media and that the opposition voters are left to their own devices. He wants to take advantage of this with these gatherings, he wants to create a community and a local activist network that he can rely on during future elections. Ferenc Gyurcsány's actions did not come out of thin air, he is aware that it is not enough to appear in the media, he must also be there among the people.

However, the voters, including a significant part of the opposition voters, do not want the fallen prime minister to return to a government position.
