Due to the war and sanctions, there is a fear that there will not be enough energy in Europe, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Thursday in Budapest.

In his speech at the handover of the Bosch Budapest Innovation Campus, the prime minister emphasized that there are currently 11,000 sanctions against Russia, but the war is ongoing, and attempts to weaken the Russians have not been successful. On the other hand, brutal inflation and energy shortages caused by sanctions could bring Europe to its knees, he pointed out.

He said that he does not know how long they will continue this policy of sanctions in Brussels, but the problem is only growing.

He said: " we will not have an energy shortage " and this is not a prediction, but a statement of fact.

" There will be gas and enough electricity in Hungary ", that is, there will be no need to shut down or close any factories due to energy shortages. There will be enough energy for everyone, and anyone who wants to invest and produce here can come and invest here

he declared.

He emphasized that one of the strategic goals is to make Hungary one of the most innovative economies in Europe, so the programs and developments that take the Hungarian economy in this direction will be continued and strengthened.

This is why the university model change was implemented and every year more resources are provided for higher education, because " not only for war, but also for research, the same three things are needed: money, money and money "

he said.

He believed that " if we do not change the sanctions policy, the situation in Europe will not be easy ", but despite the international difficulties, it will still be worthwhile to invest in Hungary in the future, because " Hungary has national and local authorities and universities that are involved in the solutions of the future and interested in the best solutions ".

Despite all the difficulties, Europe's largest battery factory is being built here, the machines, transport vehicles, and technological devices of the future are made here, and many innovations are born in Hungary, the Prime Minister listed. He added: the researchers and scientists who are constantly coming up with new solutions will move Hungary forward even in this difficult situation.

Viktor Orbán explained:

" the situation is that Europe has run out of energy ", what is available must be brought here from elsewhere and the energy that arrives here is expensive.

" Nevertheless, we have to fight the fundamentalist greens and the bureaucrats involved in geopolitical games ", he explained, and we have to convince them not to exclude different energy sources.

He believed that " for political reasons, we are giving up the use of different energy sources in a row and thereby making our own lives more expensive and making the situation difficult for our own industry in global competition ". There are few continents in such a difficult situation as Europe, but only this continent makes its own life so difficult, he said.

The Prime Minister congratulated the Hungarian engineers, developers and researchers working at Bosch and thanked them for their work on behalf of Hungary, as it is obvious that " your talent, preparation and performance were the number one reason why Bosch brought this center here and built it here ".

He noted:

the performance of Hungarian engineers also praises their schools and teachers, it seems that " Hungarian schools stand the test of time ".

The Prime Minister also thanked the German leaders of Bosch for " considering Hungary their friend ".

He said: experimentation is the real secret of innovation and innovation also exists in politics, " we also need new ideas to solve new problems ". Those who stop, become numb, become comfortable, " that's enough, " he added.

He also said that the Hungarian government welcomes any technology that " serves the good of our country ". Bosch's presence in Hungary " clearly benefits us ", he said, it is one of Europe's oldest and most successful companies.

He stated: " we want " Bosch to carry out a significant part of its work here in Hungary, so that " we can say that Bosch is building the future here, that is, the future is being built in Hungary ".
