The fundamental problems arise from the war and the Brussels sanctions, said István Simicskó. Summary of the faction meeting of Fidesz and KDNP.
Máté Kocsis (Fidesz) and István Simicskó (KDNP) held a press conference on the faction meeting of the governing parties on Thursday afternoon.
The faction leader of Fidesz announced:
the two factions asked the government to launch a national consultation on the sanctions.
The fundamental problems arise from the war and the Brussels sanctions given to it - began István Simicskó, adding: the ministers interviewed told us what difficulties it causes to overcome the sanctions, stating that people are consulted on all important issues of national destiny, which is why the new consultation is coming. The faction of the KDNP was expanded by one person, Tibor Navracsics joined them.
The KDNP understands the economic situation, but they practically received a guarantee from the prime minister that they will be able to continue the implementation of the strategic goals around the middle of the cycle.
When will the national consultation start and what will it be based on? was the first question. Máté Kocsis confirmed that the factions have asked the government to launch a national consultation, and it is likely that it will not only be possible to express opinions online. However, for the time being, nothing more can be said - concluded the representative. Kocsis pointed out that there are currently 11,000 sanctions against Russia, the most damaging of which are energy sanctions.
Family support
Máté Kocsis said:
From the beginning of 2023, they intend to introduce four or five measures that support families.
To the question of whether the transformation of the family support systems means that the programs that will expire in 2023 will actually end or continue in some other form. Máté Kocsis announced that the new family support programs will start in January 2023.
István Simicskó spoke about the fact that the details of the programs have not yet been decided, but he is confident that they will be able to continue the proven programs, but some of the large investments will certainly not be carried forward now. He did not want to give specifics.
About Hadházy's oath and the shadow government of the DK
The leader of the Fidesz faction said that Ákos Hadházy still cannot take the parliamentary oath: the case of Ákos Hadházy cannot be confused with the two new representatives from Jobbik, because the latter want to take the oath at the first opportunity, while Ákos Hadházy did not decide to do so. István Simicskó added that there are five or six countries where the mandate is automatically terminated if the representative does not take an oath, but there is no such rule in Hungary.
He said about the so-called shadow government of DK:
as we know, you can get burned in the shade".
