Klára Dobrev recently announced her shadow government, which her husband Ferenc Gyurcsány asked her to form. One of the shadow ministers of this shadow government is DK's Ferenc Dávid, who, like many other left-wing politicians, would abolish the utility reduction.
Dávid said in an ATV appearance in April:
"The issue of reducing overheads thus becomes untenable and will become more and more untenable as EU funds are delayed."
However, the shadow minister did not stop there, as later, in July, he also discussed in the ATV how he would reform the energy subsidies brought by the government to protect the population. According to Ferenc Dávid, discounted pricing should only be provided to those in need, not to those with average incomes. According to Dávid, for example, someone who earns half a million forints does not need utilities support. Many people would certainly not agree with this, since according to the latest data, the average gross salary in Hungary is currently HUF 546,000.
When criticizing the firewood measure, the shadow minister's medicine probably already wore off, since, true to the left, he insulted not only the measure, but also the population. Speaking about the stove and boiler program on ATV's Egyenes beszéd program on July 29, Dávid said:
"When I heard that we were starting a stove and boiler program, it occurred to me how good the environmental pollution would be, and how the people in the forest who need it would steal the wood."
By the way, Ferenc Dávid said that in the case of government-priced firewood aimed at replacing gas and electricity consumption by the government,
"it was an invitation to cut down the forests and burn them."
