The DK could not suppress the anger of the people of Miskolc who were dissatisfied with the left even with election fraud, which is also the reason for the victory of the candidate for local government in the by-election, believes the Miskolc Fidesz-KDNP. It was pointed out: this did not yet secure a majority in the city's assembly, but the left was one step closer to falling.
Despite the electoral fraud of the Democratic Coalition led by Ferenc Gyurcsány, the municipal representative candidate of Fidesz-KDNP won a big victory in the Miskolc by-election in district number 3
- the spokesperson of the Fidesz-KDNP faction in Miskolc told the Magyar Nemzet. András Hollósy said that the government party candidate Gábor Barta was able to collect almost 57 percent of the votes despite the fact that the DK paid several needy people living in the district five thousand forints each to vote for the candidate of the left. One of the people involved also gave a short interview about this.
- It is shocking that Ferenc Gyurcsány abuses the vulnerable position of people with a difficult fate, buys voters with money,
and try to influence the outcome of the election. However, they did not succeed in this in Miskolc, because the discontent in the city is so great that no matter how many people they try to pay off, the left is doomed to defeat in the settlement.
People's anger cannot be suppressed with money, and it is also thanks to this that we managed to win in all seven voting districts - András Hollósy emphasized.
When asked, the Fidesz-KDNP faction spokesman also said that despite the victory of Gábor Barta, the left still has a majority in the Miskolc assembly, but they have taken a big step towards changing this situation.
According to his words, this victory gives strength to the national side in Miskolc and hope to the people that the disgraceful left wing in Miskolc will eventually be rid of, in 2024 at the latest.
