There was great interest, nearly a thousand people attended the National Theatre's open day, which is usually organized by the theater in connection with the Day of Hungarian Drama. Due to the pandemic, a similar event was last held in 2019. This year, another anniversary also gave a reason for the celebration: the theater's building on the Danube is 20 years old, and the programs of the open day were partly connected to this.

This year, too, the Kulisszajárás was the most successful of the programs, which was led by Karolina Kováts, the theater's head of protocol. This program was also related to the theme of the 20-year-old building, so Mária Siklós, Ybl Miklós Prize-winning Hungarian architect and designer of the theater, welcomed the guests and told them about the history of the building.

THE INTERESTED PARTY THEN WENT TO THE BALLET HALL, WHERE THE VOLUNTEERS COULD CHOOSE FROM DIFFERENT TASKS, WHO APPLIED, HELPED WITH THE REHEARSAL THAT WAS GOING ON, TRYING OUT AS LIGHTING, SOUND, AND DRESSING.

The members of the groups that started every hour were then able to get to know the work of the art secretariat, one of the last groups was also able to enter the CEO's office,

WHERE ATTILA VIDNYÁNSZKY PROFESSIONALLY PRESENTED HIS WORK AND ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS THAT ARISED.

The visitors then saw Mari Törőcsik's dressing room, and then the exhibition consisting of the costumes and set models of the stars of Eger, which were talked about by costume designer Hajnal Tordai and set designer László Székely.

A separate program at the open day was the drawing of the Adams and Eves Festival, where the members of the 15 participating high school teams could find out which color they would have to play from The Tragedy of Man in the next program.

THE OCCASION WILL ALSO BE SPECIAL, BECAUSE IN 2023 WE WILL CELEBRATE THE 200TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF IMRE MADÁCH.
