Seven performers and songs from Transylvania made it to the finals of the Transylvanian Song talent search. The purpose of the first song contest of the Hungarian Youth Conference (MIÉRT) is to find those songs that capture the Transylvanian feeling of "being at home", authentically voiced by the youth, and the best of these will be chosen, which will be awarded the title of "Song of Transylvania". .
The competition started back in June, and by September 1st, around fifty Transylvanian singers and bands had submitted songs, from which the professional jury selected six final songs, and one could be sent to the finals by public vote. By the way, the jury members for the Erdély song were Norbert Bagossy, frontman of the band Bagossy Brothers Company, singer Ildikó Keresztes, László Lukács, frontman of Tankcsapda, and Péter Dorogi, founder of Intim Torna Illegál. However, the best part of the work is just beginning, the seven finalists and songwriters can participate in a four-day professional creative camp from October 3-6. between. Here, renowned songwriters and performers help you perfect your songs. The mentor team consists of singers from the bands Barbara Schoblocher, Blahalouisiana and Zsófia Tarján, Honeybeast, as well as the well-known singer from Marosvásárhely, Imre Vizi. "This is actually a creative camp, where you can polish and beautify the final songs with the help of the mentors. There will be workshops, as well as personal help for the future," said Csenge Kedei, the journalist of the event, to Liget, who says that WHY the organizer is satisfied with the first song contest announced, because all kinds of songs came from all corners of Transylvania.
In addition to new performers and bands, there were also singers with many years of experience in the line-up. The songs polished to perfection in the creative camp can be seen and heard again in the finals on October 30, when it is revealed which song will be awarded the title Song of Transylvania. The final will be broadcast live by Erdély Televízió, and the songs will be evaluated by a professional jury. However, the audience will also have an important task here, as they can still vote for their favorite as the fifth jury member.
