As is known, the Hír TV reporter was pushed off the platform during the live check-in at the demonstration on Wednesday evening.
Our association draws attention to the fact that the free expression of opinion cannot be combined with violence and cannot violate the freedom of the press.
We consider it unacceptable that anyone in Hungary today insults practicing journalists.
We call on the left-wing media and professional organizations to stand up for ensuring the freedom of the press, not to be silent about the incident and to condemn what happened, they said.
Magyar Nemzet also contacted Ilona Kocsi, the president of MÚOSZ, who also condemned the incident. He said "any atrocity against journalists doing their job is unacceptable" and expressed regret that the incident had happened.
