The elderly stood in line for hours for nothing in Óbuda, where the municipality announced a two-day distribution of potatoes to the needy. Although, according to the post of the office, a lot of potatoes arrived, strangely, the ammunition ran out in the first two hours and there was a distribution point where there was never any more.
The III. In the district, the discounted potato fair organized last week is already a tradition, where at eight locations, those in need could buy 20 kilos of potatoes for three hundred forints per household. If only it had been enough, but it wasn't. The situation is also incomprehensible because the office posted a lot the night before, and the photos show sacks full of cornmeal.
The case also caused a scandal among the population, because families and pensioners stood in line for hours for the goods, waiting to fill the empty counter. Because that's what they were told. Unfortunately, however, they left empty-handed and puffed up. The outraged Facebook posts reveal that there was a distribution point where there were potatoes only in the first two hours, and the goods that had been waved in did not arrive until the next day. Metropol contacted the district municipality to get an answer to what happened, but they did not respond until press time.
Along with the non-existent potatoes, everyone was accompanied by a leaflet. Illustrated with a photo of László Kiss , the left-wing mayor The first person in the district always has a strange taste, so far we have never heard of a potato soup without potatoes.
