The Minister of Justice made it clear that "this is not expected of us in Brussels either!"
The opposition prefers to bring up the issue of joining the European Public Prosecutor's Office, thereby handing another power into foreign hands. The Hungarian government, on the other hand, has stated several times that this will not happen, and moreover, the arrival of EU funds is not a condition for us to be members of the European Public Prosecutor's Office.

The head of the ministry believes that Hungary's cooperation with the organization is "excellent," but stated that we will not continue to join it.
Previously, Chief Prosecutor Péter Polt stated in his report on the annual work of the Prosecutor's Office, submitted to the parliament, that a good working relationship had been established with the European Public Prosecutor's Office, as so far Polt was the only one of the non-affiliated countries to have signed a cooperation agreement with the Chief Prosecutor of the European Public Prosecutor's Office.
