The Ukrainian politician from Münkac compared today's Hungarian leaders to Miklós Horthy, who, according to him, touched Transcarpathia as Hitler's henchman.
Hungary tested badly in terms of good neighborly relations and friendship when its leaders raised their voice about the removal of the Turul monument from the Munkács castle, said Viktor Baloga, the former mayor of Munkács, according to the Kárpáthír report is upset by the removal of the monument located in the local castle, 2008- statue of Turul, which was replaced by a Ukrainian coat of arms.
According to Baloga, currently a member of parliament, this statue was a symbol of Hungarian dreams of great power, the recovery of Transcarpathia.
The Münkac politician accuses the Hungarian political elite of using all means to block the sanctions against Russia, deliberately and methodically obstructing Ukraine's European integration, and at the same time constantly supporting the Kremlin's masters.
He believes that there is no doubt that, in the event of Putin's victory, Hungary would receive Transcarpathia from Moscow as a reward. This desire was embodied by the turul bird of the Hungarians, which has nothing to do in the castle. Only Ukrainian symbols have a place there, claims Baloga,
who stated: "Hungarians can stick their protests in one place".
In closing, Baloga compared today's Hungarian leaders to Miklós Horthy and his time, who, according to him, touched Subcarpathia as Hitler's henchmen.
