Money is pouring into the American election campaign, Soros has given at least 126 million dollars to the Democrats' campaign so far. According to the New York Times, the amount of money received for the American election campaign broke all previous records
Both major parties have prominent supporters, but the Republicans have more: they received a total of $200 million from billionaires, who represent 20 percent of all supporters. This rate for the Democrats is 14.5 percent, according to the newspaper's calculations.
This year, the most generous supporter is György Soros, who gave at least 126 million dollars to the Democrats' campaign.
Almost the entire amount went to the billionaire's own political action committee, Democracy PAC, which distributed only $15 million of that to other committees. By the way, Soros' support is four times that of the most generous supporter of the Republicans, Peter Thiel.
